Bethany remains stable, all numbers look good: Temp is 99.2, everything else is normal.
Doctor just stopped by and tried to get a response from her, but she didn’t respond, although he didn’t try too hard. The nurses really pinch and prod until Beth wakes up, but she just seems to be sleeping peacefully so I don’t think he had the heart to disturb her.
So Nurse Amy just walked in, (One of 3 of our fav’s) and said that today or on Tuesday they will be removing the feeding tube from her mouth and putting one into her stomach. I think she called it a “PEG” – (Percutaneous Dndoscopic Gastrostomy). Then sometime in the future, neither the doctor nor Amy could say exactly when, they will remove the vent and put in a Trach (Tracheostomy). Removal of all those will mean she will be able to communicate and that will be great.
Amy also mentioned that they may not do another CAT scan as all her signs show no need to do another one.
So all in all, Bethany is doing great. She will have good and bad days; days she responds and others, not so much.
Thank you again for all your prayers and support, and please continue to pray that the temp continues down to normal and the brain continues to heal.
God is GREAT!
This is the Band that Beth is in (can’t remember the name)
This was Beth’s house. She loved living there and being on her own. She also loved that her neighbors Jeff and Savanna were right next door.
