Bethany continues to improve slowly. Last night the nurse reported that she was responsive, and this morning the doctor reported the same. Responding to commands of raising her thumbs and two fingers on each hand. I don’t believe the toes have moved yet.
This afternoon they took Beth down to get an MRI and if it comes back clean then they will remove the collar from around her neck. We probably won’t know about that until the doctor gets a chance to review it, perhaps tomorrow. This will make her much more comfortable.
They are planning putting in a feeding tube into her stomach sometime tomorrow morning. They are also thinking of taking her off the ventilator tube, also sometime tomorrow.
There is some news in regards to the “bugs” they found in her system, but I am unclear exactly what they said. They got rid of two of the antibiotics and have her on one now.
Today is my 1st day back at work. Tough to concentrate, but on the other hand it keeps me busy. The folks here at work have been very kind. They have setup an account at the Avista Credit Union and donations have been made. So very kind.
Savannah and Jeff (Beth’s next door neighbors and best buds) have been setting up benefit concerts and donation jars all over Spokane. The latest one is at Fresh Abundance. Thank you Savannah for all your hard work and kindness.
Everyone has been extremely gracious and kind, and the Mooter family thanks you all so much. Thank you for your prayers, your kind words via email and in person, the delicious dinners, the donations, everything, and it’s overwhelming the kindness that has been extended to us. We ask that God richly bless you in return.
Just a couple of pic’s from when Bethany’s Grandpa was visiting in 2008.
