I have to explain that the one picture where Bethany is looking up as she takes a step…that was her ‘pose’ for the shot. HAhhhh….made us laugh. Like when she held her spoon mid way and posed for a pic of the first time she was feeding herself…remember Cassie? What a ham. She looks so stoic. Cracks me up. Her steps were pretty steady and her balance improving. They had her walk up and down stairs today for the first time and she was pretty tickled that she could do that. I got video of that. Daily strides…daily miracles. God has brought her soooo far…we are so thankful. I also must say that these therapists are outstanding. Really like them. They are awesome, really care and obviously love what they do. St. Lukes Rehab is wonderful. Thankful that God got her in here.

Joe and I have been checking your blog every few days to see how things are going for Bethany and your family. It’s funny how for four years we have been your neighbors (Joe being in the neighborhood for more than 20 years) and you barely know who you live by and what they may be dealing with on a daily basis. So thank you for sharing your journey. I have to say how touched I am to see the love and strength from you both as parents. My heart was breaking for you when I heard of the accident. I am moved by the love and faith that your family has shown through these very challenging moments. It shows you where having those fundamentals will get you. Please continue to share. I am overwhelmed and touched so deeply. This morning we watched the videos and Sandra, you have a beautiful singing voice. 🙂 I was so happy to see Bethany’s progress. We keep you all in our thoughts and prayers every day. Please do not hesitate to let us know if you need anything. Joe and Lisa

Toooo bad about the yard sale today. You never know about the weather in Spokane. Sounds like it will rain again tomorrow so we will be rescheduling the yard sale for next weekend the 25th and 26th from 9-6 both days.. same place 1809 E 1st. It will be a great success. Pray for SUN!

That’s funny Lisa…you like my singing eh…especially that last note huh?! I nailed that one, haah! Believe me, if I’d thot that Paul would post that…hm….We were just having fun you know. Thank you for your prayers and care. Good to know we have such good neighbors. Yes, God has been more than faithful to us thru all of this. In our weakness, He is shown to be strong. We give Him all the glory for saving Bethany and continuing to blow us all away with the speed with which she is healing and growing and changing every day. I think of the scripture…a woman when her time has come…doesn’t enjoy the pain of childbirth…but for the reward she bears up under it and once the child has come….she forgets the pain for joy of the child that has come into the world. We have pain in this life….but eternal rewards, here and beyond. (Too colossal to comprehend….these blessings!). And forgetting what lies behind, we press on toward the prize of the upward call in Christ Jesus. Been reading to Bethany that those who come to God must believe that He IS and that He is a ‘Rewarder’ of those who diligently seek Him. (Heb. 11:6) Her eyes lit up at that. God’s going to reward ME?! Yes indeed He is already.

Wow, just incredible. Thanks again for keeping this blog updated. To see the joy on her face when she made it up the stairs so quickly was heartwarming. God bless you all. Jerry
